Hospitality design concept for a local outdoor retreat and restaurant, ‘Latife’ found in the coastal Izmir, a populous region in Turkey. The design appreciated the 400-year-old heritage of the building and preserved the tradition and culture with natural elements which blended aesthetically and respectfully together. The use of Turkish marble and stone, infused with the contrast of “East meets West” resulted in a refreshing picturesque Eden for local residents and tourists, a “secret garden” for pure escapism. The design was shortlisted for the IF Design Award 2021, one of the most important design awards in the world, a seal of quality for exceptional design and outstanding services.
