Abundant and bright lighting is key in modern coastal decor - the ambience should feel light, breezy and inviting and not be too dark or too warm. The tone of lighting is essential to create fluidity between the indoors and outdoors. WHITE COLOUR PALETTE

Crisp white is the epitome of minimalist coastal interior design - and beautifully reflects light, whilst portraying the illusion of a much-desired bigger and airer space. NATURAL TEXTURES

Make texture the centre of attention in your coastal inspiring living room. It is essential to coordinate furniture and fabrics to the coastal theme with wicker, rattan or whitewashed wood.
