4 KEY AUTUMN TRENDS
INTERIOR DESIGN
As we enter the nesting season of Autumn, the air becomes brisk and the leaves change tone, so does our taste for our homes. This year in particular made us reassess our personal space, not only creating a haven but the time we will spend indoors, excessively more than previous years.
The annual familiar darkness brings power and energy, which is reflected in subtle styling and aesthetics, marble and stone surfaces, shimmering finishes, and grandeur lighting with mysterious new gothic ambience taking over this Fall, one of sophistication, endurance, and glamour.
TREND ONE
MARBLE & STONE BATHS
Marble and Stone baths are classic, timeless and effortless and will never be outdated. Paired with a freestanding bath design, this combination will elevate the bathroom for a five-star luxury experience. Whether your style preference is modern or traditional, a marble or stone bath centrepiece, accommodates its surroundings seamlessly. Aside from the alluring appeal, there are practical benefits, such as the exceptional heat retention, and the variety of colours and shapes from oval, round to square, to suit any bathroom.
TREND TWO
COSY BEDROOMS
Fortune favours the minimalist...and those with soft subtle styling in their place of rest and unwind. Clean, white & grey muted accessories provide comfort and solace in the bedroom and the resurgence of minimalism.
A “hushed” palette across textiles, colours and patterns, will soothe the mind, mood and environment. Taking inspiration from Scandi living, the “less clutter” and “more cushions” approach will also give the illusion of a calm setting. Think decadent fabric headboards, layered throws and thick and cosy duvets.
TREND THREE
STATEMENT LIGHTING
The lighting in your home is beyond just functional but its purpose is to accentuate and illuminate. The lighting design must make a bold statement and the shade must be the perfect warmth to enhance the ambience of each room.
Gold finish and industrial shapes are still proving popular and trending styles and whilst we have long transitioned from the chandelier, the “bigger the better” philosophy remains when it comes to modern lighting.
TREND FOUR
ROUND SHAPED DINING
Round shaped tables reign supreme in the dining room and are transitional for dining and working from home. A round design makes the quarters less formal and whilst we refer to the room we “dine in '' as the dining room, it’s also a work space, entertaining space, and children’s play space. The round aesthetic of the table is symbolic of the dining room becoming more sociable. Round tables also offer more flow and space to move around than a traditional rectangular table, the default choice.
